Pilot Dance Portrait Program

Heartland Photography is Salina's home of fine art portraiture for performing artists ... and I love photographing dancers! 

I am opening a few spots in my calendar for the 2023-24 academic school year for a limited number of dancers to experience a series of photo shoots throughout the year. 

What's included for the $200 (+ sales tax) "year of dance" session:
~ 4, 30-minute dance portrait sessions throughout the year (roughly 1 per quarter) in Karen's private studio. The studio includes private changing areas, as well as snacks and refreshments.
~ Access to my client closet, with a variety of skirts/fabric to help add the feeling of movement to your dance images.
~ Access to posing guides with a multitude of options. This is a great opportunity to try new skills! On "dance recital picture day" I don't have the luxury of time for dancers to try many poses ... this allows us to slow down and explore your abilities more!
~ 4 private viewing sessions (roughly 15 minutes) to preview/choose your favorite session image(s).
~ 3 social media images (with Heartland Photography watermark/logo) for social media sharing.
~ 1 5x7 folio with 4 images from your session at the conclusion of the final session.

*** This experience is intended for intermediate or advanced dancers ... often 8th grade and up.

The goal of these sessions is to expand your dance picture experience beyond the yearly experience at your dance studio. I have limited time with dancers in that setting, and not a lot of time to change my lights or experiment with new lighting techniques. These sessions will be slower-paced and I will work with you to coordinate fun poses/movement, as well as utilize dramatic lighting to make your images pop!

Commitments due by Sept. 1 ... we will look at the calendar and book dates later, but I want to be sure I have adequate time this fall for my amazing dancers! A $50 reservation fee will hold your spot for the entire year.
